The rules for hiring teens on KidsHustle

What job owners need to know to hire teens legally and safely on KidsHustle.

Hiring a teenager comes with responsibilities. KidsHustle builds the rules in so it's easy to do things properly, but as a job owner you should understand them.

Verified identity first

You can't post or interact with any teen until you've completed Stripe identity verification.

Appropriate jobs only

Jobs must be simple, safe and age-appropriate — things like dog walking, gardening, car washing and lawn mowing. Anything unsafe, adult in nature, or unsuitable for a young person isn't allowed. Listings and images are scanned by content moderation.

Parents are involved

Every application has been approved by the teen's parent, all your messages are visible to that parent, and payment goes to a parent-linked account. Keep communication respectful and in the app.

Pay through the platform

Always pay through KidsHustle's system. Never arrange cash or off-platform payment — it removes the protections for everyone and breaks the rules.
