Manage payments and the parent-linked account

How the parent-linked account works and how parents manage their teen's earnings.

On KidsHustle, your teen's earnings don't go to them as cash. They go into a parent-linked account (which is the main parent account in your KidsHustle family) that you control, so you always have oversight of the money.

Setting up the account

After linking to your teen, you set up the parent-linked payment account. This is where all their earnings are paid once jobs are completed and approved.

How money flows

  • A job owner posts a job and the payment is held securely in escrow.

  • Your teen completes the work and submits completion photos.

  • The job owner approves, and the funds are released to your parent-linked account.

Fees

KidsHustle's service fee is charged to the job owner, not taken out of your teen's earnings. The amount shown on a job is what your teen earns.

Deciding how your teen accesses earnings

Because you control the account, you and your teen can agree together how and when they access what they've earned — a useful way to help them learn about money.
